This page contains material related to my PhD research. My updated page can be found HERE.

I'm a Data Scientist at Expedia Affiliate Network (Expedia, Inc). I was a Data Scientist at Feedzai, where I performed R&D in big data and machine learning, applied to a large scale credit card fraud detection solution, as well as developed a REST API for preventing fraud in online payments. I was also a Big Data Intern at Siemens Research in Princeton, NJ, where I implemented efficient search algorithms using Hadoop. I have obtained a PhD in Computer Science and Machine Learning from the University of Minho, where I performed research in scalable machine learning algorithms for time series data: pattern discovery and their statistical significance. Previously, I was with Siemens and Nokia Siemens as a software developer. I'm graduated in Computer Science and Systems Engineering since 2006.
